Our Pilates course with Katrin Parsons runs on Tuesdays at 6.45pm. Our new course starts on January 08th. Drop in facility available if you have attended a pilates class previously, otherwise we would recommend that you join week one of the course to cover the basics.

We are also running a 4 week course on Fridays mornings at 11.30am, this will commence on January 18th.
Drop in rate (if there are available spaces) is €10 for members and €12 for non members.
Pilates strengthens the muscles of the core which are the abdominals, low back, hip and pelvic floor muscles. This can create a slimmer waistline, a flatter stomach and ease low back issues. Combined with stretching and sharpening the awareness for our posture, it can lead to a stronger, taller and more balanced posture. The deep breathing throughout the practice, helps to reduce tension and stress.
Pilates is a safe low-impact, mindful movement practice based on six principles:
centering, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow.
It is suitable for all ages and gender. It works brilliantly as a complementary practice to enhance performance in other sports or simply on its own.
Our classes are small to insure individual feedback. I often incorporate small equipment for variety, to deepen the workout and create more technique feedback: the foam roller, fit circle, small ball, gym ball and resistance band.
Katrin has trained with Pilates Teacher Training Ireland, hold a BSc (Hons) Physical Education & Sports Science, EQF Level3 (Group) Fitness (Gym) Instructor, PFS Kettle Bell, PFS Functional Training, Conditioning & Stretching and have been teaching fitness classes for 20 years.
